Small Victories

Friday, December 27, 2013

I wanted to share 2 "victories." First, we went to the zoo today. When we went there about 6 months ago, I rode the little train that goes around the zoo. I was so embarrassed. I nearly killed myself trying to get on and then off of it. It was my size, but mostly, it was my leg strength (or the lack thereof). Anyway, I got on and off of it with relative ease today.

My other victory is that I finally got around to taking up my pants. I knew that they were getting big, but I didn't realize until today that they were REALLY loose (thank God!!) I don't want to buy new ones yet, so I just made a bigger seam in the center back. I cut off FOUR inches in the waist!!!!

I'm also getting excited for challenges in January. I'm in the process of making my goals for 2014. After today with the zoo train and the loose pants, I'm finally beginning to feel a little success!!

Isn't it great to have an excuse to ride the little train with our grandkids LOL!

Rhonda, that is totally awesome about the 4 inches; way to go.
I am looking forward to the January Challenge as well. I am ashamed of the little progress from the past. My fault. I must learn when I go on vacation how to handle it and stay with the program when I get back home as well. I guess you call it an emotional eater or maybe a lazy one looking for excuses. Whatever, I must get serious and NOW.

emoticon emoticon I am working on the strength in my legs with the fitness I am doing at therapy and with Jill's help. It is slow going but I can see some improvement. I am happy for your "Small Victories". You know how I love small victories...they win wars! Have a bless day, Ronda. Luv ya. Judi emoticon

I'm thrilled for you - the pond ripples where you threw that stone in will now get bigger and bigger quicker and quicker. It is a very good feeling to see those sorts of successes along the way and they can definitely be a motivator to achieve greater and greater things along this weightloss journey.
