We Had To Cancel Our Christmas Dinner AGAIN!!!

Friday, December 27, 2013

When I got home last night, my husband was sitting on the couch and was VERY quiet!!! This is NOT like him at all. When I asked him what was wrong, he said that he was VERY afraid that he was getting the same flu our oldest son's family had. A couple of hours later he proved himself correct. He was up ALL NIGHT........sick from both ends........(sorry TMI)and didn't get any sleep at all. He was on the couch all morning and in bed all afternoon, so we decided that we would have to call everyone AGAIN and cancel our get-together for tomorrow. Now it has been rescheduled for January 11th. We chose the 11th because most were available that day. Hopefully it will work out.
Ironically, the phone rang this afternoon and it was my husband's cousin. Her first question was........."How was your Christmas Celebration?" I just laughed and said, "This is the Christmas Celebration that seems like it is NOT TO BE!!!" Now, I hope that the Ham won't be beyond the expiration date............I would hate to send my guests home with food poisoning after it took us so long to get together. emoticon emoticon

If your ham is still frozen it should be good for many months. If you started to thaw it, put it back as soon as possible. Hope you all feel better soon!

I hope your husband feels better soon. Could you freeze the ham? Your mom's cookies could also be put into a freezer container and frozen to keep them fresh. I hope all goes well for your January 11th Christmas celebration!!
