New Year...New Start

Friday, December 27, 2013

The new year is almost here. What to start with? I need a lot of help in every aspect of my job, my eating, my exercise, my energy, my relationship with my husband. It all can use some very needed improvement.

It's a lot to ask for a new year, but I need to tackle each of these with a positive, go-for-it attitude. Will improving one area of my life help the others move to a better place?...I don't know. So maybe I should blog about how each is going.

Today I'm on vacation and my husband is at work. The kids are home for Winter break and I'm working on catching up on laundry. It's a pretty good day, but I have this grey cloud hanging over my head because I have to go back to work on Monday. Why do I keep thinking about this?...I try to erase it from my mind so that I can enjoy the day, but it's hard because I know it's coming. Blah.

I find that improving one area does help in other areas - success breeds success.
I'm doing better since I rejoined the A & I challenges and am making myself complete this months - no excuses!
    Stay strong and focused.

Many times improvement in one aspect of your life has a ripple effect on other areas. Just start on one area and you will find that doing so will give you the impetus to work on other areas as well.

I get like that sometimes, too. It can be tough to live in the moment when you're dreading something. I try to think of it like this...the highs wouldn't feel as high if it were not for the lows.
