Pneumonia and One Other Infection

Friday, December 27, 2013

Spent most of yesterday morning in urgent care. Pneumonia (again!) and UTI. Can't figure out where UTI came from since the usual causes do not apply. All I can think is that my immune system is worn down and body became too acidic?

To say that I'm miserable is an understatement. The thing is, doc is treating lungs first and didn't want to give me other antibiotics for UTI. So my visit next Friday will tend to that issue. How I'll get through a week is beyond me. Painful. I've researched tons of info on the internet to help my body heal.

Wishing all a good day.

p.s. I spent the entire month of March this year with pneumonia. Prior to 2013, healthy as a horse. (are horses healthy?)(smiling) All I can say is that I am a classic example of how cumulative stress wears on the body and health.

That rots big time. The infernal optimist in me thinks it is great that you DO have a diagnosis and what you have is treatable.
It is good to see that you still have a sense of humor. Perhaps watching a favorite comedy will help to displace some of those stress hormones. (and help you heal)
You are woman and you are strong, you will kick this to the curb with a song.
I know my prose sucks, but I hope it made you smile. :)

Gosh! Get well soon! Will pray for you.

Drinking sliced garlic boiled in hot water and some salt helps flu like symptoms.
I read that garlic is a natural antibiotic.

Dunno if you want to try that. That's all I drank in two weeks when I had this bad flu and it went away. No Robitussin/Mucinex or anything.

Well. Will keep praying you get well soon!

I am so sorry to hear about your health issues! Be careful with that pneumonia. I've had it a few times - and each time it comes back stronger. Both my mother and her mother died from complications relating to pneumonia. Wish I had some magic potion to recommend! Hope the internet had some helpful ideas.

I understand your predicament. I had pneumonia in Feb. with an 8 day stay in ICU. On Thanksgiving day I got an upper respiratory infection, was on antibiotics. Then the day before Christmas I got a UTI. Still on antibiotics. I hope you can get some relief soon. Your in my prayers dear friend. We will kick this problem soon. emoticon emoticon

Sometimes stress prepares our bodies for illness. I am SO sorry! emoticon What you have IS miserable. I don't know what stress you're referring to but your body is yelling at you to change something, if your medical problems are due to too much stress. About 1 1/2 years ago, I had to make some choices to not have some people in my life anymore, including some family. They were all abusive and destructive to me. I feel much better now. God bless you, my friend. Praying and thinking about you. emoticon emoticon

Sorry to hear about this. I do know that green juice and green smoothies help the immune system recover. I also believe in the power of oil pulling to heal a bunch of illnesses.

As to the stress - STOP IT! And, yes you can!

I am so sorry. As a person who has had pneumonia more times than I can count . . . really empathize with the misery that it causes. So sorry that they can't treat both conditions at the same time . . . .

I seem to have years when I am really ill and have problems getting back to health. 2006 was a bad year for me that went into May of 2007. This year has been challenging too. I hope you have a speedy recovery. Drink lots of water.

My dear, take care of yourself - plenty of rest and fluids - you already know that. I had a terrible year - 2008 - don't know what caused it and don't know really what cured it. I like to think I made some life decisions in that hospital bed and that caused my immune system to reassert itself! Sometimes looking at the "not physical" can lead to physical improvements!

I went through something similar this past year and had pneumonia within 2 months of each other. No, we don't know what sparked it, however we did find out I have an under lying allergy to mowed grass so during the mowing season I must take an allergy pill and wear a mask outside. Praying you feel better soon!
