A Small Case of the "I Don't Wannas"

Friday, December 27, 2013

I feel perfectly content in my pajamas this morning despite the fact that the pest control man will be here during a window of 8:00 to 12:00. My husband and son are asleep, my coffee isn't set up to brew, and I'm behind on laundry. If I had my way, my laundry would already be done and put away, the Goodwill load would be taken, and I'd have a perfectly tidy house. It takes one step at a time even with a case of the "I Don't Wanna" lurking about. More anon.

I really can relate. Husband, daughter, and dog are all asleep. And I would love to just sit and read. At the same time I look at all the things that need to be done. Why not sit and read? emoticon

Hahaha! I know that feeling. Sometimes I have to play games... you can read a chapter if you get the dishes done. You can play a computer game once you've walked the dog. I am such a child sometimes. I want to be like my husband... sleep in... be lazy sometimes. I have managed to read Ender's Game and 2 more in the series this holiday which is amazing! However as Mom I have daily chores to keep up on. It's nice being a little slower, taking some time to just relax. Feels good to be on top of things too so especially as I know work will start again in January.

Taking time for yourself is important and you don't have many opportunities to sit around in your pajamas. Enjoy the day.
