December 26 - Close call

Thursday, December 26, 2013

Target opened at 7 am for the last day of "seasonal hours" and though I usually start my Christmas on this day, I didn't have the energy at that early hour. Instead, I thought I would just go in an hour early to give me time to shop for things like gift bags, tags, tissue and anything else I could get a jump on for next year.

It's a good thing I did because turns out I wrote my time down wrong and I was off by half an hour. SOOOOO....instead of having about 40 minutes to shop, I barely had ten. All I had time to do was hit the dollar spot and grab a ton of gift bags for half price and hope that by lunchtime, there would be enough left to be worth my while.

Fortunately, I was able to get what I needed, mostly the 50 count clear lights that I keep on my front porch lattice year round, and getting them for half price was worth the crowd and worry about getting clocked back in on time.

I was asked to work past my schedule time and though I told them I didn't want to, I would. I'm just so tired that my voice is getting hoarser and hoarser because my body is so tired. But I only had about three hours room so they ended up not asking me to stay late...for which I was grateful!!! emoticon
