Just thinking about exercise is a challenge for me. Despite that, I took a 40 minute walk with the dogs this morning. We went at a slow pace and stopped to sniff at all the interesting bushes. We walked 1/2 mile on level ground and I didn't get out of breath or overly tired. I expected to get out of breath or that my feet would hurt. That walk was the first attempt at exercise in a long time. It wasn't nearly as difficult as I feared. It was a lovely day outside and I'm glad I made the effort and even more glad it felt good. Now I am publicly committing to repeat at least 3 times a week.
