The Day After Christmas...

The Day After Christmas and all through the house not a creature was stirring not even a mouse...we were at work. Back to the work routine, healthy eating and exercising. Why is it so hard to eat right? I'm going to make every effort to improve my nutrition. I would like to increase fruits, vegetables and non meat protein. Those will be my goals this week. Looking for creative ways to get my protein without so much meat. My cholesterol is high and I'm looking for ways to bring it down. Suggestions are helpful and welcome! Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas filled with the love of family and friends. emoticon

    Sounds like a great plan. How about some grilled fish like salmon or cod. Hope that helps.

    Do you enjoy beans? I have always loved them but have learned they are high in protein. I eat garbanzo beans out of the can, they are quite good, chilled, water removed from can. Put them in a bowl and eat them as a snack. Also grapes that have been washed and frozen solid are delicous as a snack., pineapple good like this also.

    Buy veggies (sweet peppers, all colors because the mix is pretty) carrots, celery, broccoli & cauliflower cut all into pieces and keep in frige for quick picks. Can you tell I am a veggie person emoticon
