Results are in…and they weren't pretty!

Christmas is over and now the results are in. I’m catching up on tracking my food for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. And WOW I of course did not PRACTICE WHAT I PREACHED on previous blogs! I ate way over what I had intended to eat and why? Well, just because it was there and I could?
See I am not very good at self-control!!!! In fact after charting what I consumed on Christmas Eve from what I have been normally consuming which amounted to more than DOUBLE!!!! “ouch” That explains why when attending Midnight Mass I was feeling so ill… I did not think I would make it through mass. For well over 30+ day I have consumed a lower amount of calories and to double that I think my body actually was revolting to the overload.
Then on Christmas day, another party day out I also consumed over but…no were near as much as Christmas Eve. I learned my lesson from the uncomfortable feeling of Christmas Eve night. So hopefully lesson learned! I truly am entering into this new lifestyle change and am unable to keep up with the old way of eating until I drop.
I do have another plus in knowing I’m beginning to catch on to this new lifestyle change. Both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day I was able to complete 10,000+ steps on both days! I pushed myself to walk after coming home each night to succeed in achieving a glow award, no matter how awful I was feeling!!! This is a new me as I never would have or did anything of this sort before. I’m excited in this new change and am looking forward to a better and healthier me in 2014. One major difference this time around is that I actually can see me living and doing what I am doing forever.
I've tried gym memberships and boot camps before only to eventually get bored of that scene. Tried diet after diet only to fall back into same old patters before each diet began. I've lost 20 gained 20, lost 20, gained 30, lost 20, gained 30… you get the picture. All yo yo dieting got me was more weight. But now with just committing to SPARKING every day and adding to my Sparking any chance I get I've begun to make it a game with myself and am having a ball at it. I do have to admit having my SPARK ACTIVITY TRACKER has really made all the difference in the world in making these changes into life long accomplishments.
Thank you SPARK PEOPLE!!!!
