Happy holidays, everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, and are ready for a healthy, productive new year!
Hubby woke me up at 7 on Christmas morning, and although I wanted to sleep in, HE wanted to open presents! So I put on my robe and fixed myself a cup of tea...and then we opened gifts. We got each other just a couple of small things. Then he said "Wait here, your best gift is in the car!"
I watched from the window as he went out to the car and got a big box out of the trunk. I could tell by the way he was carrying it that it was heavy. I had no idea what it could be! He brought it in and plopped it down on the bed and said "Merry Christmas...open it up!"
I tore into the wrapping paper and was stunned...he got me the Les Mills Pump workout!!! I have been wanting that for quite some time now, but I sure never expected to get it. I thought it was too expensive! Here's a quick video clip of Les Mills Pump, if you're interested;
Or, if you're not interested in the clip, here's a picture of it;
As I said, I was stunned to get such a wonderful gift! I made hubby tell me how he could afford it. Well, he sold his guitar to pay for it! I felt bad that he had done that, but he said that he wanted to do that for me. What a great guy, huh?
(*Note; that is not an actual picture of me opening my present, lol.)
It amazes me that I am fit enough to even THINK of doing this workout! I think back to where I was a year and a half ago, and it is unbelievable. Back then, I spent most of my time sitting around eating...while I Sparked! I was 286 pounds, and the slightest effort would get me out of breath. Just hauling myself out of bed in the morning was a mini workout, to be honest.
But I've come a long way since then! I started out with 10 minute workouts (sometimes having to take a break in the middle of it!) and from that small beginning, I got better and stronger. I stuck with it, even when it seemed impossible. I progressed from step touches and marching in place to being able to do DDP Yoga, step aerobics and more.
And now, thanks to hubby's sacrifice, I've got Les Mills Pump! I'm 52 (and a half) years old, so its a little intimidating! But exciting, too. I know I am never going to look like the women on the workout DVD but thats fine. I never try to be like anyone else. I just try to be the best ME possible. And I am going to work to the best of MY ability with this new workout! I want to do it for myself, and to show hubby how much I appreciate that awesome gift!
