Here they are - my beauties - my loved ones - both 2 and 4 legged. All sitting around the tree, having heart healthy Brunswick stew (or begging for a taste) and either giggling or wagging tails with joy. Himself was released on Monday - his doctor shaking his head in puzzlement, muttering "he ought to be sicker - but he's not. No point in keeping him here."
So we all drove over and loaded up the patient and brought him home. Three dogs met us half way down the lane, prancing and leaping in joy and snuggling around the rest of the evening, glad that Daddy's home at last.
I am deeply touched by the groundswell of support I've received here in response to Saturday's blog post. I will thank each and every one of you for your kindness but here is my first blanket thanks.
