I have a set of three brass keys on a brass key ring that are really just a very elaborate and and heavy key fob. This elaborate key fob had belonged to my Aunt Adeline who served as an army nurse in WWII who brought home really interesting things from her tour of duty. I would sometimes wear them like jewelry on my waist. Little kids and adults really liked them and asked if they would really open anything. I used to think that they did open locks somewhere, until someone pointed out a little notch that wouldn't work in a lock. I also would tell people that each one of the three keys unlocked a door to one of the three towers where I locked each of my three daughters when we weren't together. Of course, that wasn't true!
But the three keys remind me of important things--faith, hope, love . . . my daughters Mary, Natalie, and Sally . . . life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness . . . the wise men . . . health, wealth, and happiness . . .Gladys Knight and the Pips . . . (I always include Gladys Knight and the Pips when I am making a list of any type.)
OK really though, the keys remind me to be persistent, to keep trying till I find the one that works.
I have been a SparkPeople member lots of different times for lots of years, but I have always put the keys down. Well, not this time! I am going to keep trying the keys on SparkPeople till I find the ones that work for me.
I encourage you to do the same.
