Checked the weather tonight. 4 degrees outside and a 25 below zero windchill. TIME FOR A RUN! Sweats over pants, thin outer Columbia shell coat over hoodie, slipped the thermal facemask on, slipped on knit gloves followed by thermal mechanic's gloves, and weaseled the earphones to the MP3 into my ears. READY TO GO! Fall #1 not even 100 feet from the house as one of my feet caught something on the ground. Stop, drop, roll, get up, and GO! Half a block from turning the corner for the 2.5 mile straight a way, and I saw this one coming. #2 and the run killer. A sheet of ice on the sidewalk that looked as frozen as ice out of my freezer catches my sights right as I set foot on it. I didn't have a chance......................BA
NG ON THE GROUND! Still good, but with hardly any further thought, I instantly got up and walked back home. The 3 mile polar run was nixed not by the temps but by the conditions. It's just not worth it. Disappointed because I felt REALLY good being out there!

The achievement comes from even getting out there and trying at all. No disappointment ....only a couple frustrating speed bumps. Way to go!

Maybe you'd be better off going for a walk in the mall while that ice is out there, kudos though for getting up and trying to do it after the first fall. Hopefully a thaw will come soon!
