Starting to prepare today for 12 for Christmas Dinner

Monday, December 23, 2013

We picked up another couple who had no where to go on Christmas so the group is growing. I have my menu planned and then made my list for shopping. Yesterday my DH helped me get everything on my list. I have one vegan gentleman coming but he insists on bringing his on dish now so that if good. I will be interested to taste what he brings. I have several things planned that he can also eat if he wants. One thing will be a spinach/tofu dip with roasted veggies. So today I will work on preparing things....get much of the prep work done...dicing, slicing and such.

Yesterday we had to take the girl dogs off to the vet. There were vaccinated against Kennel cough but the vet told us there are several different types of similar things that effect the respiratory system. So they both got shots and are now on antibiotics. They should be fine in 7 days.

I hope everyone is ready for the holidays.
Have a great day.

Sounds like a real good get together with friends for Christmas, plus I think it is real nice of the gentleman bringing a dish he can eat also, that takes a burden off you although you no doubt know what a vegan eats.that would make me nervous as I would not know what they would eat.
That is great the dogs are taking their medicine and will be better soon.
take care

You are going to have a big party really!
It is so nice of you to share your home with others who would be otherwise lonely on Christmas Eve.

I saw this recipe on Spark the other day and thought of your vegan friend. I'm going to make it, looks very festive!

Glad the dogs are on meds to get rid of their cough.
