I decided to tick off more boxes today in my plan than the usual. This meant that I meditated and worked out in the am (and pm by the way). Good thing I did though because my stress level could have went through the roof after getting a call that my mom fell last night.
To give you perspective this is the same mom that fell and broke her left arm near the shoulder in April, then fell in August and broke the right one near the shoulder, and yes now she has fallen again after only a week back home again. All I could think was that I needed to get in the car and drive 1200 miles to Kansas. My husband got through to me fortunately and I'm going to force myself to get my brothers to help more.
Learned something more from this too. My instinct was to jump up and take care of a very stressful situation for someone else rather than think about how stressful that would be for me to do. My entire family is back there and perfectly capable of stepping up this time and helping. The last 2 times it has fallen to me alone meaning I had to drive or fly her back out her with me to take care of her.
So today helped keep the lid on my stress. I also listened to motivating and relaxing music, went for a nice lunch with my DH, and lingered a little longer in the shower just because I could. Last goal for the night is to get my Spark activity tracker (fondly named Sparkakus) to light up fully for me
