Planning (POW!)

Sunday, December 22, 2013

My friend TADZIO has a weekend thing he calls "POW" -- I think it stands for Planning Our Weekends. It is a great thing for me, because it motivates me to sit down, plan my food, think about what I'm going to do for exercise, and look at my team challenges to see how I need to tweak them.

I have my food planned out to the 29th (I wish the food tracker would let us plan more than a week in advance). I have lots of new recipes on there, because I'll be home from work, so I'll have more time to cook. And I've warned James that I'm going to need lots of walks because I won't be walking home from work every day to get my steps in.

My co-worker is giving me her stationary bike, but we couldn't arrange a time that worked for both of us during the holiday break, so we'll go out there in the new year to pick it up.

I don't plan to change anything about my program in January, but I'm joining two team challenges, and I think I will need to add them to my daily calendar so I don't fall behind.

Have you planned your food for today yet? What about for the rest of the week? I find it reeeeeeeeeally helps to keep the holidays sane and healthy for me.

I like the term POW! Great idea. emoticon

Since I don't have a lot of money, I eat very simply and eat the same things so planning meals isn't really a big thing for me right now. As soon as I get a job, then I will be able to buy some new foods that I want to try. Thanks for the idea! emoticon
