WEIRD TV MERCHANDISE
The Jeff Dunham Show wine
Comedy Central’s The Jeff Dunham Show was a 2009 variety program starring “redneck” comedian and ventriloquist Jeff Dunham and his various puppets, which include Achmed the Dead Terrorist and José Jalapeño. For some reason, a line of expensive wines named after the crude puppets was released to promote the show. Varietals included an “Achmed Syrah” for $45 and a “Peanut Riesling” for $26, named after another of Dunham’s dummies. (It’s not made from peanuts.)
Longest-running special: Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, aired annually since 1964.
