Its been a very busy week~ Target breach

Saturday, December 21, 2013

Its strange how you think you can handle being busy but I feel tired even though I'm wide awake. Its a good tired certainly but I'll feel nicer after today's tasks are over!

Yesterday, I made Bourbon Balls, it feels like they are coming out of my ears. My family and friends asked if I tried one and I said no because I didn't, they taste better after they ferment for a few days. They are much too sweet for me anyhow and mostly sugar and full of 80 proof Bourbon I bought the other day. Now I need to do one more batch later today and I'll be done for the year with that task. The Lemon Brass Monkey cake will be made today and Oatmeal Cranberry Chocolate Chip cookies were done with grandma and the little one. The older one washed the cars yesterday and did the cleaning and tasks his Dad asked him to accomplish. Paolo will be off after Tuesday at 2pm so he'll have a good Christmas Eve and Christmas. He goes back to work on the 27th & 30th and then back to regular January 6th so its a little bit of a break here and there. We were going to head over to Seattle but there just isn't the wiggle room so we decided to postpone that until the summer next year!

It's nice being off work and I am off until January 7th myself which is nice because I needed a break from the nighttime working for a spell. I like working third shift but it can be a little tough on your body sometimes. Today I am sending off to a friend a box by Priority so he'll get it Christmas Eve likely. It has a bunch of stuff in there like a Moleskine Daily Planner for 2014 and odds and ends he needs. I had some more to send but I'll start a new box and his birthday will come round soon enough at the beginning of March.

The parents wrapped presents yesterday and my Mom is almost done with Quillows and a few other tasks. My sister will be here Monday and hopefully it will be a good week with everyone. My Aunt and cousin and their families and my Dad's sister will be here this week so a full house will be had. Tonight the parents are going across the way to have dinner with their friends, have to send them over with a Christmas card and a plant or something. They will be having ham which wouldn't touch my lips lol.

Exercise has been okay this last week but getting in my dedicated 15K or more has been more than hard with all my tasks and other getting it done duties. I got in almost 10,000 steps yesterday and I didn't go out for a walk or walk my treadmill so I was working it out all day. Its kinda fun to see how active you can be just by being more active but I knew it would be busy and I've tried to pace myself but have mercy I have gotten a little more than tired. I think after today's activity I can slow it down to normal pace. In terms of exercise I've gotten in steps and activity by doing chores, tasks and other things and I don't feel like I have stood still for more than a few minutes at a time. Even when I was doing my hair Thursday I was walking a little bit around the salon and doing some stretching and a bit of basic exercise. I've been doing pretty well with food except for yesterday I busted my fat content out of the water badly but its okay I'm back on track today. Exercise is coming back as well, since its what keeps me sane around family when they get to me a little. I did very good when it was Thanksgiving so I will continue to do that!

Yeah, I'm not happy with Target right now and their 10% off one shopping trip this weekend doesn't give me warm feelings. I would have felt slightly better if they would have come out and been the first ones to give the information about the security problem. I usually use cash at Target, Wal-Mart, Restaurants and for lower amount purchases but I used my card 2 times in the Nov 27th-Dec 15th range, not happy at all. This kinda thing is why I use cash more often than not anyhow. Its time for the banks to switch over from the system the way it is now with credit debit cards so it can be at least a little safer, this is happening way too much.

I'll cover The Writing Diet later and catch up to where I want to be with that and I'll get in some exercise by then as well~

I totally understand the stress overload and busy task that take time away from exercise. It's hard to keep our focus this time of the year. You are so sweet and thoughtful to make all these goodies for your family.
Speaking of Goodies thanks for your Spark Goodie to me. I appreciate your thoughtfulness and greatly value your friendship.
Sorry about the Target issue. I shopped online and did use my credit card. You never know who is going to get you!
Merry Christmas and hope you can slow down to enjoy it! emoticon

Npo matter who gives you a good price, no matter what the price is, Amazon is the cheapest place to shop. I found this out a few years ago. but since then, I just won't shop, and just do charity, now. eva

That Target fiasco just burns my blood! Good thing I 1) use cash for pretty much everything these days, and 2) the last time I went to Target I used a personal gift card, which was totally used for the purchase!

What's it gonna take for business, banks, etc., to smarten up - do we as consumers have to literally STOP buying ANYTHING?

You have a very active lifestyle and you are watching what you eat as a normal part of your life. 2 factors that will lead to continued success in all areas of your life.
