I thoroughly enjoyed this, because it's true,we like to only show other mothers how perfect our kids are and how we're perfect mothers....but I'll confess-my kid is asleep on the couch right now because I know if I carried him to bed at his bed time he'd wake up and then we'd have an hour or two of sternly saying "no,go to sleep" "no,you don't need anything right now, just close your eyes" and so on.I am, by far, no where near a perfect mother and if you try to say you are....well then you're a liar and you should be kicked....hard.

No rule book is given when you have a child, you do your best and as long as your child is fed, clean and loved that's all he really needs. No one is a perfect parent because parenting is the hardest job you'll ever have we do what we have to sometimes to get some peace.
Your child in the picture you have on your page looks happy and loved, not many kids are that lucky, your doing something right!
Enjoy him Christmas morning because they grow up so fast!

Screw perfection. Motherhood is hard. There are no guidelines, no rules. It's on-the-job training at its finest. You earn expert status that nobody else can earn and that you can't use anywhere else. You burn out. You escape. You take the path of least resistance. But at some point in there you regain your footing and get going again. And the rewards are like no other.
