Finding Exercise Options When In Pain

Today, for no real reason I woke up again in awful physical pain. Mostly my left ankle and heel due to an inoperable bone spur, and my lower back and between shoulder blades very sore due to several bad car accidents I was in years ago. I swear I am falling apart sometimes!

It's cold here and I think that has a lot to do with it. I went out and ran some errands on Wednesday and perhaps it was more than my body was willing to put up with. 2 hours of Christmas shopping on my feet and trudging around in the slushy parking lots probably not a good idea.

Tonite, I am still hurting but determined to find some ways to exercise that don't cause me more pain like this. Looking at some stationary bikes with magnetic resistence (yeah they are on sale at Walmart!) and also a no-impact glider thing (had one before loved it) as 2 possible options.

My husband and I are moving to a larger apartment directly above the one we live in now in about 3-4 weeks, and the extra room will serve as an office/guest room/home exercise space. I'm hoping this gets me motivated again.

On Friday, my husband and I are checking out a gym together and deciding if it meets our needs - as we both need to get out there and exercise badly. Will report back on our experience soon!

    I live with chronic pain from chronic lyme and fibromyalgia. There are times I can't walk, fall down because my foot isn't there for me and it's difficult to find something that doesn't cause too much pain.
    The one thing that helps me but I can only do it in the summer is the pool wow I can burn a ton of calories there and it doesn't hurt as much, might want to go to the Y or something.
    I also have a aero pilates, bought it on QVC might want to check it out they have payment plans and that helps.
    You said you have been in a few accidents I'm wondering if you might have fibromyalgia brought on by the trauma in your body from those accidents. I know the weather affects me BIG TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Also if you live with pain STAY AWAY FROM ASPARTAME.......... that flares everything up. Here is a link on Aspartame you might find it helpful.... Also I've been eating about 12 strawberries a day and it helps with inflamation big time! I also have leslie sansome dvds where you can walk in your house could even try that. Good luck on your journey
