I just recently got promoted at my job as a case manager for 9 clients in two different group homes. I understand that the transition can be quite difficult, but I am getting so frustrated with the lack of support from my director!
I ordered emergency supplies for the homes over two weeks ago that the director actually had to do for me since I was not hooked up to do It myself...the director shipped it to the wrong home! I literally had to use my personal credit card to purchase toilet paper for them!
Clients personal spending checks for this month were not requested...I am assuming that the request was supposed to be entered at end of last month before I came on board...didn't get done. 4 girl clients are planning on doing their Christmas shopping today with their staff and if I can't get access to their checks, then there will be major behaviors! Sigh....
My director decided to take away one of my house managers and give me all subs...yeah, right...this will be a nightmare! Last week the director approved vacation time to a house manager and forgot to find replacements. What a MAJOR nightmare for me! Thank goodness the director was able to find coverage...it was down to the last hour!
These are among the few things I am so frustrated with! Not to mention help learning the computer softwares and meeting certain unknown deadlines for things I am not aware of until the last day where I have to drop everything and scramble to "figure it out".
So, now this popped up to my attention with the client checks yesterday afternoon that I developed an annoying stomach ache. I seriously hope that the stomach ache was really from my eating a small yogurt before jogging a fast mile on the treadmill last night!
No stomach ache this morning and I pray that I can get those checks issued! I will have to drive 40 minutes one way to pick them up...no problem...
I plan on working a day over the weekend to just play "catch up" since these two homes are severely behind in everything needed. (6 months worth of filing and bill paying...)
Okay, enough grumbling! Looking forward to my 4 day mini vacation in 2 weeks to Las Vegas so I can see my family!
