HOPE..and what I DID NOT accomplish in 2013.

I must say I am looking forward to Christmas, giving the kids gifts and having hubby home a bit more :)

So, I'm not going to wish away December...

But........................ I'm looking forward to January, because it always makes me feel HOPEFUL! I feel really good, looking at the blank pages of my calendar. There is so much possibility there! ( I have an affinity for office supplies too).

AND....There is always the chance to recapture that feeling of a clean slate with each new week, each new day !

This year ..thanks to Spark people, and real commitment,I have a 2013 calendar that has more notes and figures, more goals and plans than the years before. I have written entries on SP before about my "journal/calendar" and the things I write inside. You can read those older posts for more detail, but I will recap by saying (each year) this calendar is where I keep my weigh in's, a notation of my workouts and daily goals. Example: Drink 32 oz of water, walk 1 mile. Sometimes more, sometimes less. On my worst days --nothing.

For 2012 I had several months that were blank.. I am happy to say that while some days in 2013 were blank, and several were very basic, I kept up with it. I usually choose some cutesy stickers and give myself one on each of the days I get some activity. It's silly but helpful. For $1-$2 I have some cuteness for the month.

These are some things I wanted, and did NOT accomplish in 2013..
riding my bike regularly
hitting my goal weight
walking several miles a day as part of my regular schedule (besides walking dogs)

These are things I DID accomplish--they give me HOPE that I can continue to meet more goals:
GET a bike
implement walking the dogs daily (usually 1/2-3/4 mile)
lose 10 pounds
join spark people & remain active
get in the habit of checking in daily
