White stuff and more white stuff

Wednesday, December 18, 2013

It's not even winter yet, and we are on our second snow storm in 3 days, and could be 2 more within the week. Luckily, we got out and about yesterday, could be staying close to home next couple of months...
Could be anywhere from 20 to 40cm of snow according to predictions... and then another 2-15 mm of rain (whatever that means).

Some kids ran through our yard (at least they can still get through it) and all we could see from the couch was their heads!!! Really freaking Buddy out...

Just a dreary day, haven't even gotten around to doing anything except go through the Christmas flyers, not like I need anything, just have to sew up my neck warmer, maybe I'll start a sweater, something a little more substantial after all the mitts and hats.... then maybe I can feel productive...

It was quite a depressing and aggravating day yesterday! First, the airlines were telling Sherry that there was a travel advisory. So she tried to reschedule, but the next available flight would be December 23. So many people had rescheduled that all the flights were overbooked. So, she kept checking with the airlines and we decided to give it a shot. By the time we got to the Windsor, ON airport, the travel advisory had been lifted. Wishing her boyfriend would just get with the program and come here for the duration. It sounds like you're in for a long winter.

In terms of the white stuff........I am so glad I live where I do, on the west coast. Snow is a rarity here, but is readily available half an hour up into the mountains that shelter us from the worst of it. We even get less snow than Vancouver Island!

So while it may get icy cold, more often than not it is sunny, like it is right now

I hope your furnace keeps working well now that the snows have arrived for you. Keep watm and healthy!

Snow is so beautiful for a day or two, then it gets dirty and muddy and I can only deal with snow if it quits after an hour.
