Always reconsidering things

Wednesday, December 18, 2013

I am now back-pedaling a bit from my last blog--Weight Watchers seems so comfortable for me, and it works--so, I am thinking that leaving that way of food tracking would be a mistake for me. I'm staying about 10 pounds over my goal these days--which isn't horrible--it's still a maintenance of 90 pounds lost--and that isn't anything to scoff at--right?? I've switched up my weigh in habits for the moment--back to once a week (weight loss mode) instead of daily (maintenance mode). I have selected Thursday AM, because I am ALWAYS at my house--with my scale on that day (not at the BF's house), so no excuses to myself for scale inconsistency.

I have been struggling significantly with controlling myself around sweets, and I have been finding myself completely permissible with myself to go wayyyyy over board.....frequently. I need to make some small steps to reign it in. It starts TODAY!

I hear you on those sweets! They have quite a pull on me as well!

Good for you for jumping on it now and making the changes that you know from your past experience will work best for you! Course correcting and changing our minds (WW) are good things. Flexibility permits you to choose what works best.

One choice at a time, one day at a time will get us where we want to be!

This is a difficult time of year, and I hear you on the treats! I'm trying to find a way to reign it in as well. And if WW works for you, then keep on doing it! emoticon

I totally hear you! I just can't seem to get these last pounds off and the fact that I'm a few pounds above where I like to be makes me a bit nervous as we get into the thick of the Christmas holidays. Let's try to stay strong together and re-up our commitment in early January. We've come too far to turn back now!

I guess it is a daily choice. Congratulations on being so aware of it. Good luck. Merry Christamas.

Keeping off 90 pounds is an amazing accomplishment! It took me seven years to loose 40 pounds and I've had to work very hard keep that off this past year so I bow down to you!

Whatever works for you, keep it up!

Best wishes. I also find WW comfortable and benefit from changing my tracking from SP to WW and back from time to time to keep me on my toes. Keeping off 90 pounds is great!! I'm also a few pounds over where I want to be, but celebrating the 80 that are gone. Hope TODAY is the start of a strong streak. You can do it!! We can do it!!!
