Injuries: 2 steps forward, 1 step back

Tuesday, December 17, 2013

I have some sort of tear or cartiledge issue in my upper left chest. Aside from it being scary as hell (because it is left chest pain), I have also been out of commission from weight lifting since July 12. This lack in strengh training + I have to lighten up the cardio + a new job which requires me to sit at a desk all day is not good for my abs I worked so hard to get.

To make up for the sitting all day, I make sure to walk 1.5 miles during lunch and everytime I get up to use the bathroom, I walk up the the third floor and back down (Hey, it's something!) but obviously those little changes are not going to offset the AWFUL diet I had Sept-Nov or the low intensity workouts I've been rocking.

So my chest was feeling better over the past 2 weeks so I decided to see how far I could take it and do a spin class. HUGE MISTAKE! The workout was amazing, and I feel great in that regard. My chest, however, is in the worst pain in about 3 weeks which is SO frustrating. ugh and all my friends are losing weight and looking amazing and I'm over here like "I walked on a treadmill today, yayyy"

I have cleaned up my diet significantly, still could use some improvement.
