These are getting further and further apart. So just a rundown of what's been going on.
First of all, thank you to people who commented and messaged asking how I've been. I appreciate it, guys. And to answer, I've been much better but also crazy busy.
How it's been... Tuesday night: Had my last class with one student. Sad day. He was fun to chat with. Never got around to the classes with the other group. The faculty manager got my info then never got back to me. Which is probably a good thing considering how things have been.
Wednesday? Cripes can't even remember. No work out though. The client with the cookies ordered another batch. 12 half dozens and 8 dozens. Finished product from that looked like this
Thursday. Did my exit seminar and registration for leaving the country for good. Had to line up at 6:30am to get into the thing since it was first come, first served and they only had 15 slots. Thing went from 9am to 12am, then after that just waiting a bit for them to release my passport with all the whatever that was needed. No workout here either. Kind of ate a bit more than I meant to as well. Blah.
Friday. Did all the marketing for a crap ton of orders. I mean like an evil amount of orders. How many? These are all the boxes.
There are 115 boxes in that pile. Still no workout. But watched my food. Hadn't tracked anything in a few days at this point.
Saturday. Did all the dry ingredient preparations for the orders so all I'd have to do is just dump everything in after I got the wets in order. That took a lovely 4 hours. Also assembled all those boxes (they come flat and I fold them myself) and measured out all the ribbons and liners and cellophane and what have you. Nope. Still no sign of a workout. But was okay about food.
Sunday. Actual baking. I had 36 orders going out. Started at about 10am and ended 11pm. Very ewwy. But I was moving so much the whole day that I felt like any kind of workout would have killed me. Food was as I could eat it so I didn't go overboard there. These are what I was making, btw.
Those are little red velvet cakie (like cookie cakes) sandwiches with chocolate chip cream cheese filling. Are they healthy? No. Did I eat any? Maybe a grand total of one. I can't stand the sight of them anymore to be honest, lol.
Monday. Same thing but had less to go out. Started at 9am. Had 25 orders baked, filled, packed and ribboned. And this time all done by 8:30 pm.
Tuesday. REST. Finally. Kind of. Went out to pick up more ingredients and run errands with my mom in the morning. Got in a bit of down time then headed out again to have my dress for my wedding fitted. IT'S BEAUTIFUL. Can't go into much detail yet again because my nosy fiance might be reading (Hey, babe) but it's everything I wanted it to be. I would have liked it better if I was a few pounds lighter (I've only dropped a half pound since last week), but it's still 13 lbs less than I was when I first got home and for that I am happy. I'm hoping I can watch what I eat a bit more and maybe get in a bit of exercise once all the cooking is done this week. I pick up the dress Friday morning. That's exactly a week before my wedding.
Somewhere amidst all that I still managed to finish both the Christmas and wedding surprises I have for my fiance. I'm as excited as a puppy. I haven't even started packing yet! And I still have scarves to finish for my fiance's family and my best friend and her family who are showing up to the wedding.
Tomorrow, I'll have another 20 orders to go out on Thursday. Thursday, I need to make a batch of brownies, some cookies and I think another 15-20 boxes of the red velvet things. Friday, pick up my dress then head home and hop into the kitchen yet again. I hope Saturday is the last of it.
