Paige just finished her modeling school, and they ended with a pageant to test for the skills learned, all the pacing, turns, interview skills, techniques in the modeling world, and guess who won in her age group??? Yep! So not only was my baby monster chosen out of all those kids to be in the school, she WON the final competition in a class of 25 girls! STUNNED is an understatement here! And I can be honest here, it's not like any of my family can view this, LOL...but, I can't believe they picked Paige for the school to begin with, or that she won at the end. She's cute, yeah, but I look at her and she's average, ordinary--not anything that every kid that lives next door doesn't have. They keep telling me that the 'kid next door' is what sells to advertisers, which is why they chose her, so Ok, whatever. But I'm thrilled for her, she didn't even TELL me they were having the competition, the little bugger! She said she knew there was no way she'd win so she didn't bother. I went to pick her up and she came out with a tiara and sash and the title for the year. She's thrilled, and is moving on to softball when it starts back up next month. I personally can't wait for that so I will have to ball fields to walk, and they're lit! Hopefully by then I'll have the Spark activity tracker, which I'd already have if it wasn't Christmas and I'm a broke single mom w/no child support.
As for me and my diet/exercise, I'm working only to maintain this month, we've had a lot of changes going on at work, and of course with the holidays my eating has been all over the place. I'm happy to report that I am still at 175, only twenty pounds from my goal, and one pound from normal BMI. My Sis is coming to visit in a few days, I intend to drag her out to hit the pavement with me, it'll be very nice to have a big person for company. My most recent pic, purely for weight loss purposes:
Ugh. I hate my hips and thighs. I stare at this picture and I swear they're getting LARGER the longer I look. Another twenty pounds and I'll look much better. Then I'll probably move my goal to dropping another 5 or 10, LOL!!!
