Sunny Sunday jog
Sunday, December 15, 2013
Today was a gorgeous day. I took my new shoes out for a 5K walk/jog. Almost all the ice had melted by the time I was out the door, so I unscrewed the spikes as I don't want to wear them down by running on bare pavement. They are not a perfect fit. Still, if they allow for jogging on the ice and snow, I can live with the fact that they are rather stiff and narrow. I hope they will become more comfortable once I have broken them in.
I love this view!
It was a really sunny Sunday, and here is proof.
My chewy honey toffee is now nesting in re-used jars. (I think it's probably best to get them out of the house sooner rather than later, or I will be tempted to have more than a nibble..)
Other than jogging, I've kept busy wrapping presents today. It's my favorite Christmas preparation, and I'm a bit sad for it to almost be over. Only two presents left to wrap now are the ones for my hubby and monkey. Next on the list is rummaging the attic for the remaining Christmas ornaments. We've had the star lighting up our living room window since the first Sunday in advent. Now I just need to dust, polish and place the rest of our Christmas knick-knacks.
Wishing everyone a peaceful evening. (I know I am sure planning to have one.)
All is calm, all is bright. :)
