We had a huge project due Thursday at work. Lots of hours last week leading up to it. I FINALLY went to the doctor Friday to see if this cough was more than just a cough (after 12 days, I'd guessed as much!). I have bronchitis :( It's viral, so I just have to wait it out and treat the symptoms. I also have pleurisy (which I'd never heard of) where the lining of your chest wall and lungs becomes inflamed. The inflammation causes friction when they layers rub against each other, which hurts when you breathe or cough. I honestly though I cracked a rib or something because the pain was only in once spot on my back, right under my shoulder blade, but hurt really bad.
Needless to say, I have not exercised at all. I have been trying to up my vitamin C, eat plenty of veggies, drink a ton of water and pretty much lay low. The pleurisy has subsided, so I'll do some much needed yoga this afternoon. I'm still talking Dayquil all day and Nyquil all night.
There was another Groupon deal for a gym that we bought. It's actually for the same gym the deal was for last time. While I didn't really like the gym, they do have classes that I didn't fully take advantage of last time. Since I've been sick, I'll end up starting my 1 month membership at the beginning of the year with all of the "new year's resolution" folks. I guess I'll just look like one of them :)
We have a few warmer days coming up this week. I'm hoping to get a run in outside during the nicer weather, depending on how my lungs are feeling. I'm still very mucousy (sorry TMI). Hoping that goes away soon.
