re-visit doctor

Sunday, December 15, 2013

Hello dear Sparkfriends,
As usual life is busy, I am staying away from the shopping centres this week as I know it will be CRAZY emoticon

I managed to get there on my Rostered Day Off mid week and it was not as bad as weekend shopping. Managed to buy some nice bright summer clothes that will also look OK when I get rid of this last 10kgs. emoticon

Since starting the Michelle Bridges program I have started to reduce in cms , which is good news but the number on the scales has not moved, or if it moves it is more up than down. VERY FRUSTRATING! emoticon

So I decided to go and have a talk to my GP and get another blood test done for all my levels. Especially my Fasting Blood Sugar as this has not been normal for 6 or so years, not quite Type 2 Diabetes but what is termed Pre-Diabetic.

Had the bloods taken last week and have had a message from the Doctor to come and see him in regard to my blood sugar levels and need to do a Glucose Tolerance Test.

So today I have once again decided to get back to exercising every day. emoticon

Eat healthy food in smaller portions and have healthy snacks.

My water drinking has improved, I now put a jug of water with sliced lemons on my desk with a large glass and I try and get through at least 2 jugs during my work hours. emoticon I can manage to do this if I am in the clinic all day. Bit harder if I am out and about Home Visiting. emoticon
The frequent trips to the loo can be a bit off putting when out and about

We are in the middle of a heat wave at the moment, temperatures around 40 degrees centigrade so am exercising inside on the rowing machine. emoticon I also take Sooty for a walk around the park before it gets too hot.

Hope you are all well and organised for Xmas. emoticon

Thank you all for your support. emoticon emoticon emoticon

I really hope you don't have diabetes. I hate that silly diagnosis. Really, really hate it.

I'm glad you're getting your water intake in and I totally understand the trips to the loo. When I worked with my hubby, I hardly drank anything. No loo's and no trees around. Very bad situations sometimes.

Take care of yourself and have a Merry Christmas.

It's great to see another blog from you, Libby! You are doing well to keep persevering with exercise and water and smaller portions - good on you! Hope you get through your Christmas preparations and get to have some time off around Christmas and New Year. We sure are copping he Perth heat that you had a few days ago, here in Adelaide. Not a good mix with Allodynia!! Take care and I hope you have a lovely Christmas.

    Hugs, Nattacia

I hope your tests are OK for you. I have no idea what
I will do for Christmas. I hate the shopping crowds too.
Hope you survive the heatwave. It is muggy here too.
Keep drinking your water. You are doing great. emoticon

I hope that there's good news with the doctor. Getting more exercise is something that most of us aspire to, so you're in good company!
