Wk 140 Weigh In

Let the bad times roll...

2 steps forward, 1 step back; 1 step forward, 2 steps back... This would be more fun if it were a tango.

Here's this weeks numbers:

Weight : 217.4
Gain : 1.4
Total : 102.6

Up again this week. I really need to get my head out of my proverbial backside and get back to doing the things that I know worked for me in the past. My diet has been terrible, mind you I have been keeping total calories in range, but I'm eating junk. I haven't been to the gym in more than 2 weeks, even though the pain that I had from toes on both feet has subsided (mostly). My not going to the gym has been because of 2 things, 1) being lazy and 2) it's been real cold (California cold, around 35 F at the time I usually go to the gym). The cold just reinforces the laziness, makes me just want to stay curled up in my chair watching episodes of Chuck on Netflix.

So this coming week I am going to TRY to clean up my diet and TRY to get to the gym. I know that if I can get my sh!t together I can get back on track. Problem is that my head seems to be spinning out of control, making it difficult to get anything done.

I guess time will tell if I am able to pull it together or not.

Oh listen to you complaining about your California cold snap of 35. Brother you could be here in Ohio dealing with ice and snow and wind with temperatures that struggle to get out of the teens. Actually, I do understand. I've called myself a "tropical wimp" because I used to live in the Caribbean where we complained when the temperature got down to into the sixties at night! But just you remember when you're tempted to skip your workout because you don't want to go out into the California "cold" ... just remember that you could be in Ohio slipping on ice! So get out there and enjoy that wonderful California weather that makes the rest of us green with envy!

I needed your post as I too, have slipping down that slippery road to not doing what I know what I need to do to take care of me.... reading the posts from others reminds me that I'm the one who can make the necessary changes.

    Have a blessed day!!

You can do it, you've proved you've been able to do it before (over 100 lbs worth!) so if the "cold" (I'm joining Babe in laughing at your idea of cold since it's -17C, or 1.4F, here emoticon with 6" of snow dropped on us today) is causing you to miss gym time maybe it's time to find something at home that you can do to at least get yourself moving and motivated again. emoticon

Get your act together cause I am here as the poster child of regaining back lost weight and it's not a pretty picture. You beat yourself up for losing valuable ground and it just gets more difficult.

Decide this is going to stop today! You can do it Ken!

Sorry for your gain. This year has been a tough one for you, with lots of downs and little to no ups as far as happiness goes. You are still an inspiration to a lot of people if only for posting your gains, and the encouragement yougive others to help them keep going in the tough times.

    I'm with you!!!

I've been working out, but the eating has been off track. I've been losing and gaining the same 2 pounds and it's time to stop. Let's get ourselves back on track and let's do this thing right. Focus and make it happen!

I'm right there with you on this one. My head is in 5 places at once, I feel like crap, I don't want to work out (or do much of anything else for that matter). I go and I do things for my kids and everyone else, but can't seem to drag my butt out of the house or even to work out in this house to get out of this freaking rut! I think you and I could be some encouragement to each other. Screw this plateau and backsliding thing! Let's get going!
