Day 3 of Nonwalking (and I'm Feeling Cranky)

Due to the extreme cold I was unable to take my walk on Thursday. Friday I drive so I didn't get in many steps either except what I racked up at the grocery store. Today - it is blizzard-like outside. I did have to venture into the Lab for some blood work before my doctor visit next Friday but I only went because I had to. It was awful driving and so far today I haven't gotten in many steps. I will have to head down to my basement soon for my evening run. Perhaps I will do 15 or 20 minutes just because I'm itching to get some sort of exercise in.

My upcoming doctor appointment..... I made it last summer when I first started on Spark. She was impressed with my progress and wanted to do an update visit after 3 months to see how I have progressed. I'm working out just fine but I've been stuck at a plateau for about a month now. It is very depressing. Talked with our school nurse about it a couple weeks back because I really, really wanted to be down under 200 by the time I saw Dr. Doesn't look like it will happen by next friday and I just have to accept it. I am still hopeful that she will adjust my meds. A lot of it rides on my blood work from today. My potassium levels have always run low. Extremely low, almost not even on the chart. So I have to take 2 of the biggest potassium pills you have ever laid eyes on every day. Even broken in half I can barely choke them down (and choke is the best word since sometimes they get stuck and I literally choke and have to try to reswallow, ick). I was reading someone's blog on here today about juicing. Sometimes I think about juicing for a day or two but I really don't think I could do it for any length of time. I may try it in January as a challenge to myself. It might be just the boost that I need to drop a couple of pounds and get that scale moving again. I have Christmas break in another week so I know this week will be busy, busy, busy. Then we have our big family Christmas shin-dig. But after that is over I will be free to try it out. I will plan it to make it happen. I will be home so there is no reason not to right? So I will need cucumbers, apples, celery, kale and lemons. Gotta write them on the grocery list for next week so I don't forget.

    Use organic produce please! Especially for juicing. Also for potassium eat bananas and lots of them.

I am not sure what eating program you are on so I can't make any suggestions. If it involves processed food stuff perhaps that is the problem. Our bodies simply cannot digest that stuff.

The meds are probably a large part of the problem also.
