60 Tiny Candy Canes

Friday, December 13, 2013

I bought them,
Put them on the tree.
And weren't they
As cute as can be?

I was safe,
Or so I thought
Since not to my taste
Is why I bought.

These 60 tiny canes -
Merely 2-inch long,
Hey lookee there - uh oh-
Looks like they are all gone!

Just one little treat
Here and there.
Should've never brought
Them home, I swear!

I was looking for wrapped tiny candy canes, I use them as decorations on packages, but the only ones I found were in a cellophane sleeve (not really festive looking)
Sorry yours disappeared so fast, ah the lessons we learn.

Since candy canes don't involve chocolate or PB, I'd be safe!

Hey, all's well eventually I hope. Stop making your tree so taste for your dog! I had a tree where everything on it was food( popcorn, canes, cranberries cookies, ect). My dog kept eating. One day I cam home to him lifting his leg, and the baby kitten climbing it, and the old cat swatting bulbs. Oh what fun. So, I left the tree packed away till they grew up a little.

Very cute poem - I had a similar run-in with candy corn this past Halloween. I don't even like candy corn.

Hi Jess - I missed you ! That's why I put plastic Candy Canes on the tree ! lol - I used to love them ( they real ones ) when I quit smoking now like butter cookies I cannot stand to look at them any more but do not put a Chocolate Carmel Turtle in front of me - it will all over then !! Hugs K

LOL. Yep, our sugar crave can even train us to "like" candy we really don't care that much for. Hopefully I won't be stuffing down Heath bars, Skor bars, Malted Milk Balls, etc. I don't like them but I never know what will happen when I'm on a sugar binge.

I don't really care for them either but you should have seen me devouring the broken bits and pieces whilst making gingerbread houses with my grandkids!
