Well said NOSNACKER-57 About failure--from the No S Diet

Friday, December 13, 2013

"If, on other hand, you know that you have just one chance to behave correctly, that there is no makeup test, you'll take your behavior much more seriously, and you'll have much better odds of succeeding the first and only time around.

So when you fail, just get up, brush off the dust, pause to consider what you did wrong and how to avoid it going forward, and move on. The positively strict thing to do is not beat yourself up, but to acknowledge that you failed, without punishing yourself. Save strictness for your future self rather than your past. Self-revenge is really a kind of self-indulgence."

Revenge blocks positive thinking and learning. Definitely, self-revenge has the same effect. Did we make a mistake? Then, we need to learn from it. Start over immediately focusing positively in our goals again.
Although this is easier said than done, we can try with little changes at a time.
