We can make it . . . . one more day
I don't know where this week has gone, but it's almost over.
We still have lots of ice covering the patches of snow. The main roads are mostly clear but our secondary back roads are still covered with packed snow and ice. I haven't been into town to get the mail in over a week! And that works for me.
I took some really cool picture of the back yard but for some reason I can't get the pics to post. There are a couple of the ice formations around pond and a few very cold Koi.
Oh dear, this pic just popped in, but I'm not sure which one it is....
Oh, and here's another one (it's taken 4 or 5 minutes to load!)
The big pond hasn't frozen over completely because we've kept the pump going but the overflow and the new pond looks to have a couple inches of ice.
I'm doing good . . . staying close to my Spark Plan and am feeling the benefits of changing my diet around a bit, focusing on more freggies and whole foods. I toasted some sesame seeds to make tahini and made hummus for lunch. Served it with broccoli, carrots, celery and a mushroom - that was yummy.
I'm also expanding my Qi Gong and yoga routines and I'm liking that. The Viniyoga has really helped open my shoulders and hips. Good stuff.
Still playing around with my new computer, trying to get all the updates installed . . . and then figure out what I'm doing with Windows 8.1. I can see a lot of benefits to the new program . . . it'll just take a while to figure it all out. But change is good for this ol Cat.
Right now I'm trying to schedule a meeting with our Sheriff (we have only one in the entire county!) and our Neighborhood Watch Block Captains and the Patrol Team. There seems to be a wide (political) chasm between his office and our neighborhood, soit's time to have a face to face with the powers that be.
I'm thankful that DH put up a lot of firewood and that I can haul it over . . . . that way it warms me twice. At least.
Signing off with a bit of holiday humor . . .
