So I'm taking a class that's basically Dance Stylings and loving it. It's about 75 percent ballet work, with drills designed to help all out dance genres, and 25 percent jazz/hip-hop stuff that I'm not THAT familiar with but am really enjoying.
It's making my back feel better, my legs stronger, and giving me some "me" time away from a family that's driving me nuts because they're cooped up all day long. I'm tracking the 60-minute class, but I don't think I'm burning quite what Spark thinks I am. I'm probably going to have to add in about 20 minutes of cardio a day if I hope to maintain my weight, but that's okay too. I enjoy that.
So the evening wine has been eliminated, and instead I'm drinking herbal tea and a lot of water. The last thing I want after dancing is wine, so I'm managing those alcohol calories a little better. I'm planning on weighing again on Monday, just to get a base line for where I'm at now. Maybe I will invest in that scale after all...
Still want some kind of tracker, and I have $75 to spend at will. I want to spend that on me, since I usually end up spending it on Little Bear, and he REALLY doesn't need any more clothes or toys, although he wants a truck he can drive around. I keep trying to explain to him you need a license to drive, but he doesn't get it, and then tells me to take him to the toy store. I half expect we'll get him one of those battery-driven cars (if they make them in truck form) if he keeps insisting. He NEVER asks for toys, so when he does, we take it seriously.
Eating healthy and home-made these days! I'm enjoying cooking, and filling the house with the smell of turkey, over and over again!
