STAYING ON TRACK FOR CHRISTMAS AND THE NEW YEAR 2014

Around the holiday season, particularly Christmas/Hannukah, it's the time to indulge and then when the New Year comes we make resolutions to lose weight. From the first 2 weeks of the New Year we're motivated then by the end of January we quit.
For me the resolution to lose weight did not start in January. I made the decision to get in shape when I had problems sleeping. Every part of my body was hurting especially my knees.
I looked in the mirror and I hated myself. The idea of spending the next 30-40 years of my life like this was too unbearable for me.
For the first time in my life, I feel good about myself. I recently ran a 5k and finished in 35 minutes. That was something that I never thought I could do 6 months ago.
I still indulge when I want but I watch my portions. I plan to reach my goal weight by February
2014 and from there will continue to maintain my weight through healthy eating and exercise.
Living healthy is a permanent lifestyle and those who say that they can't do have already set themselves up for failure.
Each day I remeber that I am strong, beautiful and I accomplish anything I set my mind to.
That's a great way to motivate yourself and keep going.
