Gratitude #1

Thursday, December 12, 2013

Today I am grateful for...
I had a bit of a weird and awkward experience at work today. Nothing bad it just gave me one of those empty feelings. One of those feelings that would have sent me to the jube jube bag in the past. Well it might have sent me there today too except the are a banned substance in this house! lol
I begrudged going to yoga. Odd how even though we know how yoga/exercise will help us let go of all our icky feelings, we still fight it. I do anyway. Still.
My daughter and I go together and she encouraged me to " get your gear and get in the car! now" So I did.

After 90 minutes of eyes closed gentle persuasion on my body, breathing and mind - all the icky feelings are gone. I am calm. My emotions are smooth and I am looking for a hot tub and bed.

You've reminded me that I like yoga, too, and what it does for both my body and my mind....and that I've also resisted going. Why is that? Why do we find what works and then do something different?

So, perhaps your daughter would consider a part time job as someone who pushes us reluctant ones into the car??? Funny image, but I think they're called "trainers." LOL!
