Last final is today! I'm so looking forward to checking this one off in particular... the advanced wastewater treatment course series is a bit intense, and the professor literally expects you to just intuitively know... everything. As if you've been in the industry as long as he has, with a PhD related to the subject to boot!
oah well. can only do as much as I can.
I recently got my box of local veggies for the week, and munching on them made me realize something. I just feel SO much better about what I'm putting into my body when it's locally sourced and plant-based! I feel guilty every time I eat an animal product.
That's why I decided today that I'm going to only eat fish or chicken if I'm really jonesing for some meat. Eggs just don't do much for me. If I want one, I'll have one, but they make me nauseated most of the time. And I overindulge in meat when I do eat it... I'm the type of person who likes to sit down to larger meals, and that feels better when the food I'm indulging in is plant-based.
I've tried veganism before, and I don't want to put a label on it this time around - if I want something, I'll eat it, but I'm just going to really focus on eating low on the food chain and eating controlled portions of those calorie dense foods (read: nuts and seeds) that I love so much. I'll appreciate them more when I enjoy them in moderation anyways!
So, in a nutshell:
1) finals are done at 4 PM today! YES! only three more quarters of college to go.
2) I'm focusing on plant-based meals.
3) I'm shifting away from "all-or-nothing" towards a controlled indulgence approach.
I do hope this helps me out - if I feel good about what I'm putting in my body, good vibes will become more of a norm; I'm sure of it!
