So far this week

Wednesday, December 11, 2013

The week has been going well. I've been jogging in my basement in the evening. Faster than I thought I could and it has been fun. I long to try it outside but it is now so slippery that I don't dare. I've fallen enough this year I don't want to break a bone.

Yesterday was my first day walking home in the snow. It was 20 degrees and just delightful. I have a new book loaded on my iPod that I'm enjoying, a new walking stick that really helps me keep my pace, and a new hat that keeps my face warm. It was slightly windy, which I hate, but I was only aware of the wind when I neared my own house since we have an open field across the street. Yikes, it was cold. Trudging up the hill to my house was an interesting feat since our drive was pretty slippery. But DD had a warm fire going in the fireplace for me to warm myself to. It was nice.

I will be so happy when the cold weather is gone, I miss going outside and enjoy the pretty weather. I dont dare going walking out in this weather and a treadmill can get so boring.
