Focus T25 Day 9!
Tuesday, December 10, 2013
Today was Focus T25 Day 9: Total Body Circuit, and once again: MAN! What a difference 1 week makes! I was defintely better prepared this week - not only am I stronger and can reset my positions more quickly, but since I did the video once already last week I remember most of my modifications without needing to wait for them to show Tonya. I felt it in my abs more during my planks, I was doing pushups on my knees and going all the way down and my arms were shaking, and I had sweat dripping off me. It was great!
The funny thing though? I wasn't even going to do a workout today. I had planned to, but once again that alarm went off this morning and I just zoned out. In a half asleep daze I thought to myself, "meh, it's one day. It's fine, it'll be my little secret." But as the day went on, I realized that I couldn't NOT workout today. Not because I HAD to, or because it was on the schedule, but because I wanted to get that workout in. Because it made me feel good to get the workout in, and because I wanted to experience the workout. By the time I left work it wasn't even a matter of IF I would work out, I was just going to do it.
Tomorrow was my scheduled rest day, but I need to make up the stretch workout from last week so I'll be doing that tomorrow morning instead of taking a rest day. My legs are sore and could use some relaxing, but the stretching should be good. Then again, the Insanity "Stretch" video wasn't stretching, it was a sweat inducing 50 minutes of slow power moves and stretches that worked the body out, so who knows what Shawn T is going to be doing in the video tomorrow!
Work is crazy hectic, but coming to a close soon thankfully. One of our charity drives ends this week. Collections and donations end tomorrow, Thursday we wrap and get things ready for pick up, and Friday is pick up day. As much as I loved doing this, I can't wait for the last day of work before Christmas. So much going on, I just want to enjoy the holiday season. Between the two charity fundraisers I organized, the work Christmas party, a coworkers 15 year anniversary with the company, Christmas gifts for the bosses, and all the Christmas gifts for the family... plus my regular +40 hours a week job - things have been crazy! But on the plus side, being on a tight schedule has also helped me stick with the program so far.
You know what's crazy that I just realized? That when the holidays are over, I'll be moving into Beta Stage! So crazy!
Gotta go, time to put some laundry away, make my lunch, and then snuggle up in bed with a good book.
Hope you all had a Sparktastic Day/Night!!!
Hope you all
