Todays workout was Cardio, and I KILLED IT!!! By the end of the workout I felt like a machine! I was so proud of myself! I was sweating bullets, exhausted, and sore - but I was in the zone! It was such a great workout! One week really, really makes a difference. This was the first workout in the program and I did it exactly 1 week ago today, and I can very, very much feel the difference already.
I had the ambition of getting up and doing the workout this morning, but Monday's are such a hard day for me because my sleep pattern gets so out of whack over the weekend that Monday mornings I tend to turn my alarm off and fall back asleep without fully waking up. That's what I did again this morning. But I had time after work since it wasn't my night to cook, so I went to work and ate what I planned to eat, and came home and worked out, then went down to dinner. It worked out really well. And now I'm tired and ready for bed!
I was sore from yesterday's double day, but my abs weren't really. This Saturday is my next double day and I'm supposed to do Lower Focus and Abs, and I plan on doing the ab workout first this time so that I'm not so burnt out during that workout.
Tomorow is Total Body and I'm excited to give that one another try. Last week I wasn't really a fan of that workout because of all the modifying I had to do. Too much time has passed for me to really remember what the moves were, so I guess I'll see.
I went to Walmart today during lunch to pick up some things, and I always make the mistake of walking through the womens section to see if jeans are on sale or what kind of stuff they have out... and today I really scored! They had Danskin full length yoga pants and they had my favorite: workout capris! I love the capris - not full length so you're not too hot, but not shorts so you're not umfortable or pulling anything down or worried about bunching. I thinking about buying another couple of the capri's.
I also started putting some thought into my prepping for the Warrior Dash in June. Once I complete Focus T25 I'll have 15 weeks left to prep for the Warrior Dash... soooo... I was thinking that once I finish Focus T25 I'll make a hybrid program between Insanity and jogging. I LOVED Insanity and it would definitely help me get ready for the stunts and obstacles in warrior dash, and I would need to get on a jogging program so that I can jog the whole way without feeling like death (my body didn't take too kindly to a Diva Dash I did back in September). So I figured I could do 3 days jogging, 2 days Insanity, 1 day stretch/yoga and abs, and 1 day rest. June of 2014 is going to be a big month for me! First weekend my Dad has his 5th degree blackbelt testing and I really want to show up my old teammates and show them my progress, the second weekend is the wedding I'll be in, and the last weekend is the Warrior Dash. Can't wait to see where I am then!
For those who read my blog from yesterday: my Grandfather passed this morning. It's a sad thing, but at the same time it's really comforting to know that he's not suffering anymore.
