All righty, I'm kicking off a new hard-core Primal streak beginning today. So far, so good!
Breakfast: nice and hearty. Three eggs, two chicken sausage links, big handful of spinach, some fresh mango salsa, and a bit of cheddar with a nice strong cup of coffee and a splash of cream. Hitting the ground running, here!
Lunch: Tasty cup of homemade white chili, made with chicken, white beans, and kale.
Snack: Much-needed cup of coffee with a splash of cream
Dinner: Some VERY tasty sirloin steak with a big helping of broccoli cooked in pastured butter
Dessert: Half a cup of blueberries with a plop of Fage yogurt
And it's all rounded out with ~3 miles of walking and half an hour of EA Sports Active 2 on the Wii. I busted out my not-really-new-but-never-reall
y-used set of 5 lb dumbbells instead of using a resistance band, so I should feel it in the morning. Grow muscles, grow!
In short: this streak is off to a great start! I can't help wondering why I ever let myself get pulled back down into junk food land. Curse you, emotional overeating! Anyway I'd really like to fit back into most of my clothes by the time I turn 30 (in February) and I think I can do it. Just need to make sure tomorrow goes like today. Mmm, exercise makes me happy. Grok on!
