Veggie shake success

Today is low carb day so I decided to try making veggie shakes again. This time it tasted pretty good, with that addition of non-dairy milk, rather than using water. It cut down on the sweetness of the protein powder I'm able to use. Though I did find another flavor of theirs that I can use, and ordered it today, yay.
Today's first shake was made with my protein powder, two cups of spinach (which I'm testing again to see if I break out from), coconut milk, and a half of an avocado for the fat I needed for the meal. The second one was the same except almond milk instead of coconut, and only one cup of spinach and a cup of mushrooms.
Now those mushrooms gave a bit of a strange flavor truthfully, but not bad...
I'm just so grateful the shakes no longer taste like they did the week I threw up some of my shakes (due to an allergy to zucchini turns out)!

    I like spinach in my smoothies, but I usually do fruit....I guess you wouldn't if you're cutting down the carbs!

    Trying new things can be great -- or awful! I like to do a things called, "Try It Tuesday" to try new things and report on them.

    I am glad that you are trying a variety of things. I need to remember to eat different foods instead of the same things all the time. Really good that you did not get sick, sure hope you do not break out.
