Halloweenathon - Run for you Bones- 10K

That was a tough race my feet feel asleep from the get go it was cold and the path was a golf cart path rolling hills on concrete which suck on my feet but overall still got a PR. It took a while for me to appreciate that race but finally did here is the picture of the medal.
Next was the Turkeython 10K on Turkey Day AM

No pictures - my photographer couldn't was not feeling well so we did without pictures. I was worried as I had not been training as well as this time of the year my mind plays alot more as my memories and flashback come back and at times can be debelatating but been pushing hard to get passed them and am healing as i remember anyway much fear played in my head that i would not do well but as i started walk/running my mind cleared and helped me push through my self doubts and as you can see i came in with a wonderful time. My last lap around the mall (4 loops at 1.25 - mall) my bestfriend Brian joined me as he had finished his race and decided he would run my last lap with me as he saw me running and pushing the last 1/4 mile he let me go on my own and met me at the finish it was very liberating to work hard and come out with better time than i ever though could happen shaved 3+mins and that was very littl training. It was emotional for me, made my day that day we all went out for Thanksgiving dinner and enjoyed it. (Brian is in one of the Pix above)
I have been doubting myself the past few weeks i haven't prepped much for the Holiday Half and with what work i put in last week and hoping it will be enough of what i do this week nothing more than six miles lately so have no clue how my endurance will feel but i will just manage. I have to finish it in 4hrs. so will have to push hard all the way through. Our weather has been very cold so hoping it will ease up because i hate the treadmill and really want to get back outside but not in bitter cold winds. I am going to have fun with it and do my best this will be the first half marathon i do by myself normally i have friends with me walking it the first two i did so this is very MENTAL for me to do - SCARY I'll just remember it is a 10k twice plus .7 mile so will go with that in my head. Hoping to run/walk as much as I can. On a good note set up a massage later that day because i am sure i will need it. lol
So hoping it all goes well this week and next Sunday!!
PS - Hubby - photographer will be there for this race!!
