'Tis the Season to be Jolly

In the spirit of "Sometimes SO MANY things go wrong that it becomes comical" That has been happening this week...OK, what else can go wrong??

The garage door opener stopped working (BUT, I managed to manually get the door down and locked all by myself... will dig out the manual and reprogram the silly thing tomorrow if it's still not working)

A friend called after bedtime to offer to bring over a tool that we needed, but when he got here, he discovered that one of the lights in our car had not gone out, was still a little star of brightness in an otherwise dark driveway... I shudder to think what would have happened if he had not dropped by,... surely a vehicle deader than a mackerel come morning.

Did I mention that I LOOOOOVE eggnog? But so far I have resisted... Go, ME!

Sounds like a few days that I have had. We have to continue to laugh so as not to cry!! Hang in there and one way or another, it will be fixed! We have a golf cart down here that could almost be going backwards as it was as slow as a turtle until today. A neighbor had a guy come into the park that repairs golf carts and sent him over. My DH had replaced all the batteries, wired them up the way they had been and this guy saw right away it wasn't wired to the correct posts. Such a simple fix!! So now we can fly around the park (and really feel the windchill!!) :)D

No, not the dreaded garage door failure! Mine in the old house got very finicky and I had to call a garage door company (who knew!) to come out. My boss came over (super guy!) and pointed out that my spouse (the dead guy) had written the number and name of the company in big letters on the inside of the garage door itself. He was very organized a efficient at house and car stuff before he stopped caring. Garage door company did not want to admit it was a warranty issue but we finally cut a deal.

I emoticon eggnog...and no one knows what it is here! So sad. I shall have to attempt making my own.

I agree about the Rule of 3...sounds like you have 1 more near miss to go emoticon Keeping my fingers crossed it too is just one of those small annoyances.

I feel your pain In our case, it usually happens "in threes"...first a leak in the tub. Then, a link in the pipes under the kitchen sink. To top it off, a flooded basement from incorrectly installed pipes.....
I'm dreaming of a dry Christmas....
