Way too late again I had too many conversations today.

Sunday, December 08, 2013

These were conversations on Spark I think if I ever get my new computer I will need to skype instead of type but I know I would have even longer conversations. There is only DH to talk to so I make up the time writing to Sparkers.
I tweaked the Kale Quiche, it was very good. I subbed Sweet potato cubes for the tomato. It really sweetened the kale. I use cheddar and Parmesan and DH does not like mustard so I used ketchup. We both really liked it a lot. DH had garlic herb french bread I did not I ate a clementine and small apple instead. I really want to get to OVERWEIGHT it has been a long journey to get there.
If it had not been such a long journey I would not have my wonderful Spark friends. Thanks I am off to my bed.
DDIL was sleeping so I must catch up with her tomorrow.
Snow or freezing rain is in the offing Pat in Maine.

Pat, I got down to overweight for a bit but went up to obese again. I like that goal and I'm making it mine for the new year. Working on getting down in weight while I wait for the new year to get here. HUGS, Terry

Eventually we will both be overweight. Who would have guessed that would be our goal? emoticon

Pat, I'm so sorry to read about your DDIL. I'm wishing her quick healing and sending you big hugs. I really hope she can come home to the kids before Christmas.
I love sweet potatoes and kale, too. I often mix them up with kale and goat cheese or feta. Nothing else is needed to satisfy me. It's perfect winter food.
You're doing great, Pat! You've come so far, learned so much, and shared all those things you've learned. Way to go!

We are getting more snow tonight but not a lot.

I don't skype.

I want to try to make some quiche sometime. I've never made it.

We had snow, freezing rain, and ice yesterday/last night. It looks very nasty out there. I had hoped to run a few errands for the holidays but I'm thinking I may have to stay in today. I don't like driving on "bad" roads so I won't unless I have to!!! Did some decorating and worked on Christmas cards yesterday. I was feeling "in the mood"! emoticon

We got snow yesterday. Now it is very cold. Hope your DIL is improving. Recipe sounds good with sweet potato.

Yummy, friend! I shared Spark's Easy Vegetable Soup recipe with DS and DIL yesterday, along with the tweaks that I made. I had a note on it from 2?3? years ago that DS "loved it" and indeed he still did. It will be easy and perhaps will help them not to grab something so often. She doesn't cook much, by her own admission, and I think it is because she never learned. Her parents divorced when she was in middle school, and she lived with dad, and I think aunts/grandmas helped with meals. Perhaps that is something that I can share with her in the future, only when asked, of course.

There is always one more post that I need to make, and one more thread that I need to respond to, and sometimes it gets late, so I know what you mean!

Oh how I would like to get to overweight instead of obese! That would just be marvelous! I know what you mean there too.

I just love anything with sweet potato in it!

May you have a peaceful day today! We are supposed to have some snow in the mountains, but we should not be getting the freezing rain here. We will see!

Stay in and safe with your bad weather. It is just really cold here. Supposed to get above freezing by the end of next week. I hope it does.

we just have major cold. i'd almost rather have snow and 20 degrees than what we have. today was twice as warm as the past three days, and it was only 18 degrees.

I have silicone like rubber muffin pans and made your spinache crustless quiche in it then when cooled wrapped in saran wrap and freezer. I'll try adding Kale, too. Great go to foods.
