I headed out this morning in cold weather running gear, planning on taking Charlie to the pet store to get cat litter, and then for a 45 minute run. I only had limited time until I had to get ready for my Pampered Chef Party. Well, he got invited by his trainer to play in her current class, and he was having such a great time playing with a female Great Dane twice his size that I lost track and we never got out for our run! It was worth it though, they were so cute and funny!! He was petrified at first because she was so big, and the 2 previous Great Danes he met were mean to him (boys). He kept going to me and the trainer for reassurance. But soon they were rough-housing and he decided he loved a big woman!
She even took his face and most of his head in her mouth and he never showed any distress or tried to get away!! He just looked at her like she was the coolest thing on earth! They played and played, until the next class arrived, and then looked for each other in the store. It was worth missing a run because they were so happy! I think we will drop by again at that time and see if we can play...He has a play date tomorrow with the puppy across the street. I hope it is as much a success as last week and he can continue enjoying teaching him. These folks are apt to give away dogs and I hope we can help work with this one early so they don't want to.
I did a dairy free trial last week and it yielded NO results.
I really was reacting to it at one point as if I was allergic, and was as a baby. I am happy to report nothing changed when I went off this week, or back on yesterday!! I am SO happy I LOVE cheese!! I could never quit it long term, I always cheated within a couple weeks or a month! Some things I don't care about, I LIKE almond milk and coconut creamer, but cheese...I NEED it!! I also really love greek yogurt with berries and flax or chia. I am happy to have it back now on low carb. It seems to be the problem was eating it AND grains, even gluten free ones.
I have a lot to do tomorrow, and I also want to rest, so I think I am going to make a schedule for both chores and rest tomorrow. I want to set myself up for success! I have food prep and logging food to do plus cleaning and putting laundry away. I also should make up the missed run for today. I have to think about how I am going to do all that and still find my day restful!
I am down 1# this week, but am still not to my lowest. I am happy but no measurements changed or anything. I have to be diligent with tracking and am going to try and lower the protein a little because I do take in a lot. Even though I would rather be losing more, I am still not going to be discouraged with low carb. I still feel better than I have in a while regardless! It is where I belong, I just need to tweak a little and I have faith it will work. I could be better with consistency and exercise as well. I also have been bad with alcohol. I love my wine, and I also had hard cider in the fits of a craving the other night! At least dry wine is minimal carb! Cider is 8 per bottle that I had and I had 4!
So 1# is great this week I will take it!
