Where does the time go?
I was a little busy I these past couple of days. Researching some things on line, taking care of business, visiting friends etc.
I did find quite a few great recipes for my new food plan. I have also recommitted myself to the Macrobiotic Diet. It is so hard to adapt to this and I would hate to dissuade anyone from trying it, but it does take a WHOLE lot of planning and preparation.
I have found a few short cuts around some of the grains... after all you need to rinse, soak, rinse and then cook. YUP it is quite a bit of work. So I cook and freeze to help myself out.
Getting some vegetable soup in the crockpot, then some making squash and red lentil stew with mochi. Sounds a bit odd, but oh man is it ever delicious, and very nutritious.
Fudging the diet for a couple days caused the scale to go in the wrong direction by a couple numbers... not too bad, and not disappointed but, once I am fully back on track, that will melt away. That is the one thing that totally amazes me about Macrobiotics. I am shedding the weight without even trying! For me... that is really amazing.
