Tis the Season!

Sunday, December 08, 2013

Time for a short update! There is so much to do and so little time and I'm feeling a huge urge to decorate my tree. There is a delightful snow coming down outside, and I'm definitely feeling the Christmas spirit. I don't really have room for a nice Christmas pine or anything in my apartment, so I'm making due with the fake ficus tree. I've got lights on it already and I think it'll do nicely with a few ornaments.

That plus getting to spend an impromptu week with my boyfriend and I'm just brimming with holiday cheer. We got to spend our 2 year anniversary together, went to see Catching Fire (which just reinforced my awareness of how easily I'd be killed in the arena. Must. Work. Out!)

Best of all, I have made the decision (with the full support of my sweetheart of course) to pursue a recent dream of mine. There is still a LOT for me to learn, but I am very thrilled to begin my journey to entrepreneurship. Even though the idea came to me not long ago, I really feel compelled to seek this avenue in life. I want to become a professional organizer.

Organization is something I am very, very good at, and it's something I really enjoy. Pair that with a desire to help other people and a recognition that lots of people do need help with it, I believe that this is a great way for me to make a living doing something that I love and can make a difference.

It's scary and I really have no idea what I'm doing. Business classes have never interested me, but I think I've got some great tools at hand and I can't wait to see where this takes me. Big things are ahead and I have not felt so happy in general for a very long time.

Hope your holiday season is going well and that you stay safe as the winter fast approaches!
